WC Test:
1) A land single retrieve of 50 yards or greater landing in light cover.
2) Two back to back single retrieves into water to prove willingness to re-enter the water.
3) The dog is not required to be steady or deliver to hand. The judge may designate an area for delivery.
4) The dog should not be gun shy.
No decoys.
Ducks will be used for water retrieves. Chukers will be used for land retrieves.
Times:
Land retrieves begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 08, 2011. Please arrive early @ 9:00 a.m. for judge’s instructions. Dogs that do not pass the land retrieves will be permitted to run the water retrieves if time allows. If the number of entries and time allows, water retrieving tests may be run immediately following completion of land tests after a short 20 minute break. If there is a large entry for the land test, we will take a 30- 40 minute break before moving on to the water test.

Things to bring: rain gear, folding chairs, dog crate, flat buckle collar, leash.

No electronic collars may be used on the
test grounds
Carry–in Covered dishes /drinks for lunch provided by our Club members and any other dishes
will be graciously welcomed by our participants coming to the WC .
Entry Fees:
Entry fees are $26.00, payable in US funds. Entries are limited to 45 dogs. Entries must be received by the WC Secretary by Midnight – Wednesday September 28, 2011. Checks / money orders. Made out to HLRC.
Miscellaneous:
Entered Labradors must be AKC registered.
All Labradors qualifying for the LRC, Inc. Working Certificate will receive a qualifying ribbon and an application for an official LRC, Inc. Working Certificate.
( Any other breeds of dogs participating in the WC test will receive a qualifying ribbon and a signed HLRC qualifying certificate stating the dog qualified and passed the tests)
No dress code is required for this test. But recommend long pants, appropriate shoes.
Every attempt will be made to provide a running order for the dogs prior to the WC by an e-mail. If you have a preference of running early or late, we will try to accommodate – no guarantees.
Directions to site:
From Indianapolis and South: Take I-465 to Michigan Rd. (US-421) on the North side, Follow US-421 North, Continue North on IN-29, Continue North on IN-329, Continue North on Burlington Ave., Continue North on 3rd St., Continue North on IN-17 to Cass County Izaak Walton League on right hand side of highway. It is approximately 64 miles from the intersection of I-465 x Michigan Rd. It is approximately 2 ½ miles from the first stop light in Logansport to the test grounds
From The North: US-31 to IN-25 at Rochester, IN-25 South to IN-16, Turn Right, Follow to IN-17 (approximately 3 ¼ mi.), Turn Left follow South approximately 5 ½ miles to Cass County Izaak Walton League on Left.

From the Northwest: IN-35 South to IN-16 at Royal Center, Turn Left, Follow to IN-17 (approximately 6 ½ mi.), Turn Right follow South approximately 5 ½ miles to Cass County Izaak Walton League on Left.
From the West: US-24 East to Business 24 at Logansport, follow to 3rd St., Turn Left follow North to Cass County Izaak Walton League on Right.
From the East: US-24 to Business 24 ( Logansport Rd.) , Turn Right and follow to Logansport (approximately 10 mi.), Continue ahead to 24th St. (Walgreen’s will be on the far LH corner), Turn Right, Proceed 1 block, Turn Left onto Broadway, Follow to 3rd St., Turn Right, Follow to Cass County Izaak Walton League on Right.
There is an air conditioned
building with bathroom facilities and water available at the grounds.
